Position Description
The Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) in this
role will be responsible for developing, enhancing
and maintaining circuit verification tool front-ends
which mainly consist of netlist parsers and APIs to
core simulators and third party tools. A successful
candidate will have sufficient compiler front end
experience applied to EDA tools and will preferably
have worked on circuit verification tools. The SMTS
will work closely with circuit simulator developers
and application engineers.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain front-end parsers and APIs
to core circuit simulation engines.
- Improve and maintain performance of tools’
front-end components for large circuits including
handling of difficult corner cases.
- Maintain compatibility with prevalent circuit
netlist languages/formats.
- Develop and maintain interfaces to third party
APIs.
- Independently solve problems and exercise
judgment to extend and maintain quality, performance
and functionality of netlist parsers and other
front-end components.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in areas related to EDA tools
parsers and language front-ends.
- Excellent knowledge of principles of compilers.
- Outstanding programming skills in C/C++.
- Solid background in object-oriented design,
high-performance data structures and algorithms, and
software engineering processes.
- Excellent background in developing software
using Linux environments. Self motivated individual
with excellent problem solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a worldwide
development organization.
- MSEE or MSCS.
Desirable
- Previous experience in implementing front ends for
SPICE based circuit simulators.
- Familiarity with Verilog-A and Verilog-AMS
