Sunplus
Technology Deploys Berkeley Design Automation
Analog FastSPICE™ Platform
Platform Delivers True
SPICE Accurate Device Noise Analysis
for Complex Mixed-Signal ICs
SANTA CLARA,
CA, — May 4, 2010— Berkeley Design Automation, Inc.,
provider of the Analog FastSPICE™ unified circuit verification
platform, today announced that Sunplus Technology Co. Ltd., one of the
world's leading providers of silicon systems for consumer electronics,
has selected the company's Analog FastSPICE™ Platform (AFS
Platform) for design verification and device noise analysis of its
analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
"At Sunplus we have been using Analog FastSPICE since 2008 and we
consistently get 5x -10x faster results with true SPICE accuracy for
complex-block characterization and full-circuit performance simulation
of our analog and mixed-signal ICs," said Mark Chen, Manager, Project
Design Department, Sunplus Technology. "We have now deployed AFS
Transient Noise and AFS RF analysis to solve our device noise analysis
challenges. The AFS Platform is the only tool that delivers
transistor-level device noise analysis with true SPICE accuracy for our
complex analog and mixed-signal designs."
The Analog FastSPICE Platform (AFS Platform) is the industry’s
only unified circuit verification platform for analog, mixed-signal,
and RF design. It always delivers true SPICE accurate results, while
providing 5x-20x higher performance than traditional SPICE, >10
million-element capacity, and the industry’s only comprehensive
device noise analysis. The AFS Platform is a single executable that
uses advanced algorithms and numerical analysis to rapidly solve the
full-circuit matrix and original device equations without any
shortcuts. The AFS Platform includes licenses for AFS Nano SPICE
simulation, AFS circuit simulation, AFS Co-Simulation, AFS Transient
Noise Analysis, and AFS RF Analysis.
"We are delighted that Sunplus Technology, one of the world's leading
developers of consumer electronics ICs, has deployed the Analog
FastSPICE Platform for design verification and device noise analysis of
their complex analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits," said Ravi
Subramanian, president and CEO of Berkeley Design Automation. "Sunplus'
decision to deploy the AFS Platform is further evidence that
today’s leading analog/mixed-signal design teams select Berkeley
Design Automation as an essential partner in the design efforts.”
